Meredith and Derek’s wedding day began at a garden-lined church in East Vancouver, where worn pews sat neatly on weathered brown carpet. After witnessing vows and singing hymns, everyone wound along on Hwy 99 to a Squamish reception, which was tucked into fog-lined mountainscapes at Furry Creek. From moody blue horizons to good rock texture, Meredith and Derek’s portraits are some of my favourites of 2019. But really, the whole day was worth capturing: from preparations and umbrella-sheltered walks to the aisle, to childhood stories and bursting dance floors, and all the ordinary moments in between. Congratulations again, you two! Your marriage is a good one.
