Brianna and Ryan live their life by (and for!) the ocean. This marine biologist and a coast guard pair even met on a boat, so it made sense they got married by the sea. They wove the ocean—its colours, texture, and beachy paraphernalia—throughout their ceremony and reception, which took place on Newcastle Island and in Nanaimo, respectively. It was such a beautiful day, surrounded by blue waters and skies, rich speeches, and such sincere love.
I’ve known Brianna and her family since I was born. Some of my happiest childhood memories are camping with the Wrights, celebrating New Years Eve together, or playing in their magic sprawling backyard garden. That being said, it was pretty special to photograph Brianna’s wedding, and to see her so happy in life with her new husband Ryan.
