Marijke and Jon were married on a late-August afternoon in Toronto, BC. Their day began with a traditional door-knocking game before family from all over the world met for a tea ceremony at the Windsor Arms Hotel. After this, we escaped to the forest for some portraits (and a tiny concert!) as a wedding party, before heading into a stained-glass ceremony at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church—which finished with church bells and ice cream trucks! Finally, the day ended with a reception at Eglinton West Gallery. The day was rich with heartfelt speeches, thoughtful vows, endless family reunions, intentional community and BIG celebration. I’ve known Marijke and her sisters since we were teenage and 20-year-old babies in Victoria, so it was pretty great to see her marrying so well. Congratulations, Marijke and Jon and thank you so much for having me out in Toronto as your wedding photographer!
