Nathan and Vanessa were married on a bright cloud kind of day in a small blue church off Commercial drive. They marked their ceremony with hymns, flames, and wooden pews lined with friends and family. After they were married, we created some images by lakes and in forests, before heading into a reception filled with taco trucks, trophies, gold touches, donut walls and an extremely memorable dance party (in which much shoulder-hoisting happened—see below).
I’ve known Nathan since I was an awkward seventeen-year-old at summer camp, so it was special to document his wedding—and to see both him and Vanessa surrounded by a community who clearly adores them. Congratulations, Vanessa and Nathan!
